The SCUBAzen terms and conditions form the agreement between the user and SCUBAzen, LLC dba FireBrands covering scubazenapp.com and the SCUBAzen app. SCUBAzen is free to use: the dive logbook, packing list, gear checklist, wetsuit estimator, weight estimator, and paperwork generator cost nothing and need no subscription. The AI travel planner, called the travel agent in the app, is the one paid feature, because each question is answered by a third-party AI service at a cost to SCUBAzen. Every email address gets one free day of the planner, after which 30 days can be bought as a one-time purchase that does not renew. The terms also contain safety disclaimers, age and certification requirements, an arbitration clause, and a class action waiver.
Free features
SCUBAzen is free to download and free to use. The dive logbook, packing list, gear checklist, wetsuit estimator, weight estimator, and paperwork generator are available at no cost and require no subscription. Conversations with the AI travel planner stay readable at no cost even when no paid time is running.
The AI travel planner: one free day, then 30 days at a time
Each email address gets one free day with the SCUBAzen AI travel planner: 24 hours of unlimited questions, starting when the diver taps "start" and the first question is sent. A new SCUBAzen account created with the same email address does not receive a second free day.
After the free day, 30 days of the AI travel planner can be bought as a one-time purchase, shown in the app as "travel agent · 30 days", at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase. The App Store or Google Play sets that price in the diver's local currency. The 30-day purchase does not renew automatically, so nothing more is charged when it ends and there is nothing to cancel. Buying again before the current time ends adds 30 days after it.
Within the free day or a 30-day purchase, questions are unlimited, with a limit of about 5 questions a minute to protect the service. Paid time belongs to the SCUBAzen account, so it works on any phone the diver signs in on.
Payment, refunds, and account deletion
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and charged by Apple or Google. SCUBAzen uses RevenueCat to confirm purchases and never sees or stores card details. Refunds are requested from Apple or Google under their refund policies, not from SCUBAzen. When a refund is granted, the unused days that purchase added are removed from the account.
Deleting a SCUBAzen account removes any unused AI travel planner time. SCUBAzen does not refund those days and cannot move them to a new account, except where the law requires otherwise. SCUBAzen may change the price of future purchases, and a change never affects time already bought.
Safety disclaimers and requirements
The SCUBAzen terms include safety disclaimers, and SCUBAzen identifies the safety section as the one it most wants users to read. The SCUBAzen application is designed as a planning and logging tool only and is not intended to replace scuba training, certification, or professional guidance.

SCUBAzen, LLC dba FireBrands assumes no responsibility for any diving accidents, injuries, or fatalities occurring in connection with use of the application.
The terms additionally cover the user account, prohibited use and intellectual property, international users, indemnification, arbitration, a class action waiver, liability disclaimer, and termination of access.
Age and certification requirements
Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account independently. Users between 13 and 17 years old may use the app with a parent or guardian's permission. No users under 13 are permitted to use the application. Users are responsible for diving only within their training and certification. Governing law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the SCUBAzen agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. Users consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in California for all disputes arising out of or relating to use of the site.
